  • I need more details, Sisy. JK.
I'm not liking the rebounding stats.

  • 3-pt Field Goal Attempts (350 ranked)    344  Tells me we still don't have a sniper.

Defensive Rebounds per Game (350 ranked)    68   We are rebounding quite well
Fewest Fouls (350 ranked)    9    Controlled defense and offense
Fewest Turnovers (350 ranked)    24   Ball control no slop
Field-Goal Percentage (350 ranked)    25  Sweet Offense from inside  The Bear would maybe even smile.  No really.  He would never admit
his satisfaction if the players might hear it.
Field-Goal Percentage Defense (350 ranked)    37  This is what would really bring a hidden grin behind a rolled up program.
Scoring Defense (350 ranked)    63  Very nice
Scoring Margin (350 ranked)    42  Makes perfect sense
Scoring Offense (350 ranked)    85  See the two above
Turnover Margin (342 ranked)    67  See controlled offense
Turnovers Forced (350 ranked)    31 Great defense

Well this one says we don't take a lot of them.  And why would we with Williams shooting 75%?
The %3pt FG is equally bad however.  Mostly due to Mr. Boum

Lots of stats can be misleading.  A team that jacks up shots every 10 seconds will have pretty high total attempts and total rebounds, but doesn't necessarily equate to winning.  Much like time of possession in football...

The other stats you highlighted I think do equate to success.  And I define success as wins.  I am pretty sure CRT does as well, thank goodness.

  • I'm just saying that if we had a sniper that stat would be very different.  A sniper is still useful if they can snipe just in opening up the paint.  Kind of like having a deep receiver to pass to.  Not saying to throw bombs down field every third play and hope for the best.

  • I was looking at Twitter and Andy Katz has UTEP in the dance. I hope he's right.

  • It's still so early.  La Tech is looking pretty tough.  But if you had to pick someone, on paper we have the most talent and depth.  As has been mentioned, we can spend all season trying to figure it out as long as we have it figured out by the conference tourney.

  • We have one chance.  We have to win the Tournament.

  • Exactly. We are going to lose more games & it all comes down to the CUSA Tourney. That is the only way. If that doesnt happen, then it's NIT.
