Well, it is over. The last game we all thought that we could at least beat Rice. Not only were all of us wrong, it wasn't even close. This season had a way of wringing the last drops of hope right out of us all. Thinking the Miners will win is like thinking you can get a drink of water from a rock. Next years Challenge will be the ultimate test, not of ability to pick winners and losers and scores, but to see who still has any faith in UTEP football at all. Will anyone be willing to show the world that you believe? I guess those who thought it was all Kugler's fault for no talent in the cupboard and were just waiting for Dimel's players to start playing will be predicting Miners wins, though. We will see how many of them there really are, now, won't we.
