I believe, since all of us picked UTEP to beat Rice in the last game, that there is no way for the scores to change enough to change the final outcome. Basically, I picked UTEP to win the least amount of games for the season and that was the difference and even I didn't pick them to lose as many as they did. I understand that trying to pick a whole season of individual games is a tough proposition and perhaps eliminates a lot of the analysis that many use to predict game scores. Yet, it may actually be simply a different way of looking at the team on a macro level. Some might say it isn't very valid, but I disagree. I think it is just a different way of looking at the team. For next season, the question will hinge of a belief in progress or lack of as the basic premise to consider. Maybe the only real factor to consider, and each of us can analyze that in our own way. I thank those who played along. Unfortunately, constant losing leaves just the discussion of how the losing happens, so we end up with discussions based on who was best at figuring that out. Like Mojo said, most of us pick with our orange colored glasses on. I guess I won because more than others I finally just gave up my faith in my own team. The victory is a painful one. Looking ahead to next year, those who play will have this season to help them in their picks, for what that is worth.
