    It also marked the first and only year I ever bought season tickets.

    •  Miners lost 34-13 to Cal Poly in 2003.  It wasn't even that close.

    I have no clue. I just know she was given options. I can see declining the 1st time. CUSA was kicking with only rumors of conference realignment. After that, you got me.

    Yeah, but I think they regrouped and beat Sam Houston State the following week!  I was there for that one.

    • 1981 Bill Michael/ Billy Alton Head Coach season. Outscored 441 to 146 on the season. Somehow won one game against Colo St 35-29. Excluding the Co St game, the offense averaged 11 pts.

    This seems like one of the lowest points in UTEP football I can recall, I was in HS at the time.

    • Since 1987 I've been to almost every home game. I used to tailgate right on the lawn of the old Main.  I'm sad to say that the last 2 years I've only been to 2 games, none this year. I don't know what to think anymore about football.  I'm numb to Miner football right now. Tomorrow the Miners Play here at home against I don't know who and I won't go to this game as well. I'm tired of supporting football. It's the same thing over and over again. I will utter the old Miner saying that is said this time of year "when does basketball season start?"
