    • I saw the piece on KVIA last night that Williams was not in El Paso and UTEP is only saying he didn't enroll for the Summer II session.
    I wrote in another site that we need to just write the kid off. Wade & Flaggert will have to step up.

    • Lieb,

    I can see why you would want to press the panic button, but keep this in mind. CTF has always responded well when issues like this come up. It happened early on and that is to our advantage. The Williams kid has never been proven in D1 play and we have kids chomping at the bit to prove themselves.
    That being said, we will know in a week if he is coming or not. If the kid is coming, his true athletic attitude will make sure he will be here for those practices for Costa Rica.
    Then again, that is just 1 kid. Hunter was 1 kid and we couldn't get to where we wanted to be with him here. It is the team that will get us where we need to be. I really think we are going to have a really good team this year. We have to win. There really is no dominant team in the conference this year and CTF knows it.

    • One fan at minerdigs brought up a really good theory. He is taking a mini break from basketball until he has to "officially" check in. Nothing wrong with that.

    I'm sure lieb would like tell protons and electrons to go quark themselves sometimes and just pop open a cold one.

    • I told myself that when Isaac Hamilton pulled a fast one, but it is hard to discipline yourself. When your best recruit is not the 1st one here, a normal fan gets nervous. Some of those Cali kids are iffy. (Anthony January, Isaac Hamilton, Bhuda Jones, etc). Bhuda made it for a year, but jumped ship when he saw that Thomas was a superior player. A competitive athlete would up their game and improve. Instead he left. Not to mention he jumped 1st at SDSU 1st. Iffy.

    I'm still not holding my breath for Williams. Our defense will have to step up if we can't get a SF scorer.

    Protons and electrons can quark themselves all they want.  They probably can't serve in the military, either.
