    Some inaccuracies are:

    1. UTEP would not consider $1 million in donations to athletics exceptional. They received $3.8 million in 2016.

    2. UTEP does not pay the HC $300k, they pay a whopping $500k.

    3. While true that UTEP only averaged 19k this past year, they have averaged over 40k numerous times.

All of that still doesn't amount to a pimple on Alabama's butt, but let's at least be accurate.  >:(

  • Life is not fair.  What makes this country great is that someone with no advantages can rise to the top in spite of the fact that life is not fair.  There are those who believe it is right to do something that is wrong to try and achieve fairness.  We were ranked number 12 a few years back.  UTEP.  If UTEP or UCF can do that consistently, they too could be champs. Everyone has a chance.  That is what is great about this country.  Not equal, just have one.

  • If smaller programs are consistently in the Top 25, a bug money school will snag them.

I don’t agree that everyone has a chance.  Schools such as BYU or Boise State have been trying for years - and all it takes is one bad season for them to be forgotten.  What was UCF’s ranking this year?  Didn’t help them one bit.

Even this “FBS playoff” format is a farce. A four-team playoff?  Really?   A mega power team such as Ohio State was left at the door like a beggar.

No, we’ll just have to be satisfied with winning seasons and meaningless bowl games.  Or, it would be great if that’s what we could be satisfied with.

  • As Dumb said, "So you mean there's a chance?"  Keep in mind that Utah was once where UTEP is, in the WAC.  They now are in the position to win National Championships.   TCU?  WAC.  Want to bet that Houston, a team we used to be able to hang with in C-USA doesn't get an invite to a cartel soon?  They see themselves as worthy, take steps to achieve it, and are now in position to play for a NC.  Which team from today's CUSA will move past us into a better, big conference?

  • At the end of the day... People are stupid, I bet there are people donating way over their budget to "Bama" many likely never even have stepped foot in a college classroom. I say fuck Alabama. :) I am happy with my lil ol shitty UTEP degree... and UTEP athletics, though they are annoying as hell right now.

Absolutely, Ky! Too many people nowadays constantly bitch about what others have, instead of taking care of business, and doing what they need to do to better their outcomes in life.
