The Latest Version of the Den Is Now Open

The walls are bare but the paint is fresh and everything is new.  This isn't the first time we have done this. Everyone will need to start completely over.  At some point I may be able to import data such as post counts and such, but for now we are working with a complete start over.  You will need to register with a working email account as registration requires activation through email to help with spam control and security.

I am, too!  I have grown very fond of the Den and people who frequent it.  Even the ones I argue with! I was very distressed about the regulars not having our Den. We are down to a few dozen or so who post, but if the Miners could get back to winning it would change quickly.  I was kind of bumming that it was back up and yet empty, so I was very happy to see a new member.  Thank you, lieb. I will have to see if I can find the penguin avatar for you.

You've really  done a Hell of a job throughout the years making this a great place to visit.

Just cause I haven't posted for awhile doesn't mean I didn't come around. Lost my mom early last year and I've very literally been in a state of stagnation and depression since last February.  But Im very happy we didnt lose you or your site.

I am glad both of you are here.  I'm hoping Mark will be soon, but without the arcade he may not have the same hook as before.  No one knows the women's sports better than he does.
I know that losing your mom hit you hard. I am going to say something.  I am very sure that your mother would not want you to be in a funk. I know enough about depression from my psychologist  friends not to say snap out of it.  But I also know from experience that you can do more than wait for it to get better.  In life we find what we look for.  Look for positive. Positive energy seeks positive energy to regenerate and negative energy expends energy.  Action, positive action comes back to you and helps create a positive environment.  The Miners may not be a well of positivity to drink from but the Denizens are here and pulling back from people, disengaging is not what you need now. You take care of you.  Don't allow it to stay.  Get back in the game.  Keep your head on a swivel.  Let's go.  Your posts are very respected.

I appreciate the comments.  I'd have to say that maybe it was more "dang its 2017...where have I been?"  Just recently got back to working out and trying again to retake off the 32 pounds I had done in 2015.

My dad and I were able to take a trip to San Diego last year for a week and then another week as I was there for a conference for work.  He's been worse off but my cousins that live real close to him have kept him busy.  I'm really happy to say that this year he is going to accompany me and my wife and my wife's son to the Big Island of Hawaii.  The last time he was in Hawaii was in Honolulu in 1969 from Vietnam. 

Mojo remembers my dad coaching his grandson in the YMCA. 

Plus since my cousin plays for the Miner football team, I was trying to back off the boards because if he gets to play I don't know how I'm gonna handle criticism sent his way.

But I'm here willing to support THE board.  Digs gets more play, but this one has always been my favorite.
