    • Yesterday morning, at school, a raccoon fell through the ceiling in the girls restroom causing all kinds of commotion.  Animal control corralled the critter and removed it.  The school was built in 1973 and raccoons have found ways to enter the building and make their way through the attics. 

    On another note, one of our graduates who was a speedy track finalist at state, will be playing for Sam Houston State.  Miner fans will see him (Fatu Mukuba).  His older brother played for Clemson and through the Portal is Playing for the Longhorns this coming season.

    • The only thing that worries me about your post is about the track athlete playing for Sam. I still have fastest man alive (Bob Hayes) playing for the 'boys long ago. We better prepare for that speedster, somehow. I was trying to remember his name. I had the Hayes part right and my SIL said Robert and it didn't sound right but she was partly right as he went as Bob Hayes.

    • That's interesting -- CSW never rests.  And I appreciate bringing some life to the board.  But neither of these answers what I was trying to ask.  I found it myself just now googling.  Practices start Aug 7.  Everything else until then is just noise, IMHO

    • I like listening to Scotty, his enthusiasm is contagious. But...I feel that he won't be here for too long, it's just a premonition. If I win the lottery I'll pay half of his salary but Utep's gonna have to do their part too. I think he's a winner, and if coaching doesn't pan out he can be an auctioneer.  ;D

    • UTEP has had 5 winnng seasons out of the last 36 seasons. How this football program is still going I don?t know. Why any of us are still interested, I?ll never know. It has to be some horrible virus that we can?t shake.

    With that said, go Miners!

    Also, if Walden produces a winning program he will be a hot commodity.

    • There is really no amount of money that would stop a guy like that from taking a P5 job.  The challenge of seeing if he is good enough to make it at that level would win out, even if MiW won the lottery and could beat the P5 offer personally.

    Hell for that kind of money, screw the coach, buy the players with NIL $$$

    You're right, they would come cheaper. Just buy them a nice car and clothes and they'd be happy...I think. LOL
