  • I wonder if he did that with Vince, and if he did and Vince got negative feedback, why did he go pro.  Vince has been quoted as saying he should've stayed at UTEP.

  • I love it. If Floyd ever got a kid who is NBA ready, I'm sure he would not be stupid enough to tell him to not go for it. I don't think Mayo made it to his Sr. year. The kid was ready as a few others were under Floyd. Hunter had NBA talent, but didn't have it all together. Floyd knew it and did his best to keep developing the kid. You can't do a damn thing about it when others are in your ear making empty promises.

  • I believe a few things factor into Vince Hunter decision to go into the draft.
He needed to help his family to start with. UTEP was not got to provide the
way Louisville and the rest of the mafia schools do. UTEP doesn't have the
    money.
Another factor was that a few aholes got into his ear giving Vince bad advice (to go pro).
3rd factor, the mess that UTEP was going thru in his sophomore year. Things
were getting out of order for what ever reason. The team wasn't clicking.
    There was no leadership.

    My two cents

    Go Miners...
