  • Well we?ve definitely given the cheap route every opportunity.  Insanity is continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result

  • You said that 7-10 wins would generate 40k fans a game. Twenty -five bucks to watch a 8 or 9 win team is a bargain. Forty thousand times twenty five is one million. Five or six home games. Five games five million dollars to pay 2.5 million bucks.
The question is would they continue to support the team playing the cusa teams?  Yes. Long enough to move up. Would they support playing higher level teams?  No question they would if they were competitive. But the formula for improvement is simple. The basis formula is that El Paso has the fans needed to pay for a winner. And the will. UTEP does not agree evidently. Or they don?t care.
Btw, none of the formula involves charging students more.

  • El Paso always turns out in great numbers for a Cowboy scrimmage. Maybe hire the Cowboy Cheerleaders for a halftime performance at a UTEP football game and see how it affects ticket sales.
