Kugler's signature on his contract wasn't dry before he started ragging about the state of affairs he had inherited from Mike Price. The talent was not D1 level, and the complete failure of the coaching staff off the field was just more than words could describe. The first thing out of Kugler's mouth was a caveat about his statement of being able to get it done. Back tracking with a built in excuse. Everyone knows that I felt it was a classless move then and I have never changed my mind. But, I also always was kind of amazed that Kugler was basically saying that his mentor and boss had allowed CMP and his staff to get that way under Stull's watch! Dude, you are my man, but you just gave me this piece of shit that already is making keeping my word look tough! Not a word from Stull.
But, now Stull is bringing back the man who supposedly ran the program into the ditch. I guess someone figures CMP can't do it in just a few weeks, but still. If Kugler was right, Stull should have been fired five years ago and now Stull has brought him back. OOOOOOOORRRRRRR, maybe all parties concerned were just fine with the charade being acted out. One way or another, shit don't add up.
