I just don't understand how it is that college basketball players, guys who have spent years playing the game, can't make shots from 10 feet or less from the basket. Open shots! Layups! As a kid who couldn't get any closer to the basket than you can being 4 feet tall I could make shots that guys that can reach up and grab the hoop. I really don't understand how they can miss a four foot jump shot. Even the announcers were kind of stunned by it.
POINTS IN PAINT

Louisiana Tech 14 14 28
UTEP 6 6 12
If you take away Bieniemy's 28 points we scored 24 points in 40 minutes of basketball. You have to think about that. Eleven other players were on the floor and those eleven were able to get 24 points in forty minutes. Another way, other than Bieniemy, there were 140 minutes played by others and in that 140 minutes we scored 24 points. It is like watching 8 year olds trying to make a basket. And I just don't understand it. How can you spend years playing basketball and not be able to make a layup? I really don't get that. The women can, but the much taller men can't!
This week should be layup week at UTEP. All week. If a player shoots a three in practice, send them home!
