  • This is Dimels last chance. We really need him to produce. I'm tired of being let down & wanting every coaches head.

  • If he is building something, it should reveal itself next season.  It looks to me like every home game plus NMSU should be a potential win.  If he is doing anything worth keeping, most of those potential wins should turn into actual wins.

  • If the Miners lose to NMSU, attendance for Bethune will be really bad.

  • Can we agree that a win against the Ags on their pasture would be a measurable goal and indicator of progress?  I would consider it to be. I believe that would be an upset.  And you are right, a loss would affect attendance for Bethune but a win in Cruces would also be a big boost for attendance in the Sun Bowl. A chance to see the Miners go to 2-0 coming off of an Aggie beating?!  Oh hell yeah.

  • I'm optimistic once again. I should know better but I can't help it. I'm incurable.

UTEP showed some improvement this season and likely would have won over UNT and FIU if those games had been played in El Paso as scheduled.

With almost everyone coming back, Dimel has no excuse to not make it to bowl eligibility.

  • I hope I am wrong but I figure we will be favored to win one of those games-and we might win that one.
Looking back at last season we beat two FCS teams who went a combined 7-9, and a ULM team that lost all ten of the games they played. Against the rest of the teams we played we scored 112 points and we gave up 215 points.
We do have new offensive and defensive coordinators. Who knows if that is good bad or doesn?t matter. The dc is old and well traveled. No I mean really well traveled. He must keep bags packed well traveled. But he?s been to some nice places.

  • Sincere questions:

Do we have any reason to believe the secondary will be any better?

Do we have a QB on the roster that can run Dimel's offense?  Hardison is the best QB we have had in a while but playing Dimel's offense without a dual threat QB is like playing with one hand tied behind your back.

Will Dimel still be calling all plays?
