    • My orange colored glasses and my belief in all that is good in this world hopes that all of the disastrous things that make this year so horrible will include our football team in the list beside the murder hornets as we upset a good four or five teams. But I have also been a fan since the eighties so reality is reality. I need some proof.

    • I just don't know.  Last year SFA did better against Baylor and SHSU than we likely would have.  I'd like to think we could just chalk up a W right now, but we are UTEP.  Will DD actually play to the strengths of his QB or continue to attempt to pound a square peg into a round hole?

    Maybe we will be surprised and we dominate.  My kids high school has been the UTEP of TX high school football forever, and they actually won their first game this year 70-something to zero -- which is probably more than they scored the last two seasons combined.  So miracles can happen.  It remains to be seen what happens in wk 2...

    • I kind of think that we will be the better team but find away to bury the pick axe into our foot at the last minute to preserve our status as the most hapless college team in football ergo the 28-27 SFA prediction.

    • You are making me think -- what would be the most UTEP-ian thing that could happen?  I'm currently thinking it might be to dominate the first game, making us think it will be a good year, and then proceed to go scoreless the remainder of the year.
