  • 70 65 S. Miss.

I may be wrong, since we are back home, but I am afraid that we will lose more than half of our remaining games.  There are no easy wins and we can't beat teams we should be crushing(or we historically could).  Hopefully the team can get settled, but I don't see it.  I don't understand how Efie could be a fricken beast last year and can't get on the floor this year.  Who is beating him out and by doing what?  We have no offense and can't rebound.  You know what he could do?  Score and rebound.  Williams ad Odigie  should be dominating.  I could easily be wrong, but right now, the team is wrong is all I know.  Ask yourself the question, if last year's team had Williams added to it, would we have lost to the Florida teams?  I don't think so.  We would have beat them like a drum!  Just my very humble, no bb expert opinion.  I seriously wonder what the Hell is going on, just like the football team.  Shit just doesn't make sense.  We must be building a foundation based on class and integrity, because we sure aren't winning the way we should be.

  • So Miss has lost every road game and a couple home games.  I think we win this one.

72-64.  It's good to be home.

While I have occasionally scratched my head at Terry's substitutions, for the most part they have made sense.  Kenton Paulino's substitutions were ridiculous.

Our lineup should be Williams, Efe, Archie, Edwards, and Hawkins.

First big of the bench is Tarke, then Verhoeven, then Vila
First guard off the bench is Stroud then Boum.
As far as I am concerned Boum has played his way onto the bench and until he can show that he can put in quality time during his minutes he stays there.

Stroud and Tarke have contributed with their time on the court.  Sure they turn it over but so do the starters.  Maybe given time they will clean it up.  The starters have not proven they can.

We only have one guard shooting > 33% on 3s.

I hate to say this but I am really beginning to be concerned that Terry is Rabadeaux 2.0.  I see no evidence of an offensive game plan, just offensive sets.  Every coach has a couple plays he has his team run.  The good ones have some kind of plan for the game.  It looks to me like it is turning into street ball.  In some ways it reminds me of Tarkanian, who could beat you if his players were dominatingly better, but he basically tossed the ball out on the court and said go get 'em and that was the extent of his coaching.  A talented street ball team will lose to a less talented disciplined team almost every time until the disparity of talent is too great.  I feel like that's where we are.  No one seems to know what in the hell they are trying to accomplish, just running the offensive set and hope someone takes it one on one and scores.  They seem to want to play as a team, hence the over-passing, but no one is telling them how or what to do to achieve that.

We have all season and I may take it all back if the ship gets righted by the end of the season, but I'm not seeing it right now.  At the moment I think Senter is 0-2 on his big hires.

  • We will squeeze by SoMiss. They don't have Doc anymore who seemed to have our number. As someone posted SoMiss has lost some away games and it won't be any different this time. Hopefully, the Miners don't disappoint and they finally get their head our of their you know what's.

  • I was shocked by S. Miss's record after it was pointed out to me by Sis.  I was shocked by the 11 1/2 points UTEP is giving!  Then, I looked at the teams and their records that S. Miss played.  Let me just say that I stand by my prediction and would be tempted to put $20 down and take the 11 1/2 points!  Don't go look at their schedule, the scores, and the records of the teams they played because I want to remain the only one in the other column.
