  • So, I find myself once again in that typical emotional state at the end of Oct.  Having gone through the normal grieving process with UTEP football of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and now acceptance of the futility that is UTEP football, the feeling of near apathy, still tinged with a vague hopefulness of a slightly less sucky future.

This feeling rapidly being displaced by an irrational exuberance and optimism towards UTEP basketball. Could this be the start of something big?  Could CRT really bring us to the promised land and stay around to make it last?  Could we again see greatness a la 1980s?

And in reality, is this not the base emotional state of a native El Pasoan?  Sure things suck now, but there's always tomorrow?  So we slog on through the perpetual muck thinking one day it will all get better.
