  • Charged with DWI, possession of reefer, terroristic threat, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Not a good look for the team's senior starting QB, obviously, and a big blow for the team. Chances are he's a goner, IMO.

No comment yet from UTEP or Dimel.

  • What makes it even worse is it seems that all of the eggs were in Lockley's basket.  Dimel seemed bound and determined for him to be the quarterback at all costs.  It is a crap shoot for the quarterback spot if he is out.  I can't imagine the new president is going to tolerate anything less than dismissal.  There is the presumption of innocence, thing.

I think he's got a lot of 'splaining to do. The cards are stacked against him really. Dwi- can't fake that. Gun in the car-can't fake that. Possession of a reefer-can't fake that.

I've never been one of his fans at all. We'll see how the new president see it too. I reckon being AF secretary that she's not too keen on his comportment. He's gone. I'm glad. Perhaps we can now see what the other QBs look like without that stubborn idea that he was our football savior.

  • In all seriousness, Dimel needs to do the right thing and give the kid his walking papers. I'll have way more respect for the man if he does that.
I understand we all make mistakes (ie- Jones driving under the influence of pot in his system).
In Locksley's case it was 4 counts. DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm, & threatening the Popo.

I wouldn't want an athletic dumb ass like that running my football team.

  • On the one hand, he's obviously an idiot.
On the other hand, EPPD is notorious for WAY overreacting to any situation and deliberately trying to escalate any encounter into a confrontation.

Without any further knowledge than what has been made public, it seems likely he was in possession of a weapon while DUI.  That right there is likely enough to end his UTEP career.  The terroristic threat is likely typical EPPD BS from them getting in his face and trying to provoke him until he said something mouthy.  I'll bet he plea bargains to the DUI and the other charges are dropped.

We will not see him in a UTEP uni again.  Which is fine with me.
