  • I do not think he will be coming back.  Here is what I was told about the situation that led to his departure.  Fraizer has/was very critical of other players on the team and not in a way that a leader would be.  The coaching staff told him that he needed to be less critical of the players on the team because it was destructive to the team and that he would be welcomed back when he could do that.  When I was being told this it reminded me of Kobe Bryant and how he treated his teammates.  I in know way want to compare Frazier to Kobe talent wise but it just seemed like the situation was similar.  It also does not make sense to me that Frazier would come back for the following reasons:
    1. He came to UTEP to play for Floyd and he is no longer the coach
    2. He has already graduated.
    3. He can go play in Europe and get paid to do what he is doing at UTEP.
    4. He has aspirations of playing in the NBA and I think he has a better chance at that be going to Europe.

  • This is the third school in a row that he's left for "personal reasons". Left SMU after complaining that he wasn't getting enough minutes, when in fact, he was getting decent minutes even after coming off an injury. But there have been more issues than just that. SMU still serving sanctions because of him. North Texas couldn't do anything with his attitude either. It's all about him, not the team. Anyone with a track record like that sooner or later has to fit the "coward" label.

  • This year is not happening. I say work on the kids who will be here next year. Thomas needs to get his head out of his ass and just play. Frazier was a band aid and not a viable solution.

  • Hell, at this point just tell them to go out and have fun.  Maybe the chemistry will happen freestyle and they put it together themselves by the tourney.

    ^^&^

I agree. What have they got to lose. Johnson (see I'm not even sure what the current coaches name is) isn't getting the job anyway so just let them have fun.  ;D

  • Im shocked too, maybe he actually had something important to tend to over the winter break. I thought he'd be lacing up for a team in Istanbul by now.

  • He's not shy either, during last nights interview of Omega he put in his two cents worth or as is said, he photobombed the interview.
