    • NMSU wins their bowl game. UTEP has not won a bowl game since 1967. UTEP is 0-6 in their last bowl games......that needs to end now!!!!!!!

    • Based solely on this year the are more worth than UTEP. Our athletics is at an all time low.

    • I saw the game & was happy they pulled it out in OT. I have to admit it was basically 2 inferior teams going at it. So many horrible mistakes on both sides. It was not fun to watch if you are a football fan.

    Sadly it’s true.

    We’ve seen football programs from nearby or that have never won a bowl game before in their football history win a bowl game recently such as UCF, SMU, Rice, Houston, North Texas, New Mexico and now New Mexico State. Next thing you know UTSA will win a bowl game next while UTEP will still struggle to win a bowl game.

    This would be the same inferior Utah State team that beat UTEP in the New Mexico bowl in 2014?  Same head coach.  Yeah, that makes me feel so much better.

    • By the way the way if I’ll go on record to say that if Dana Dimel doesn’t bring a bowl game win for this city within 3 years then he should be fired. It took him 3 years to succeed when he was at Wyoming, it also took 3 years for him to be terminated from Houston. A bowl game appearance won’t cut it, it has to be a bowl game win! No more excuses, Las Cruces already did it, now it’s El Paso’s turn to win a bowl game. The pressure is on for Dimel to get it done!
