Spring Game comments anyone?

El Paso Times has a nice write up, but I was wondering if anyone from the Den happened to be at the game and could give an assessment.

I am planning on making the trip to Springfield MO for the MO State game in Nov, which, my daughter and grandkids, who live in Nixa MO will be in attendance and hopefully my Bro and his wife as they are in Ponca City OK for the next 2yrs.

Hopefully, a Miner Tailgate can happen.

Wasn?t at the game but watched highlights and read the articles/opinions. The offense looks more efficient overall. The o-line appears deeper, bigger. The 38-35 score is very misleading due to points given out for halftime hijinks.

Some expected contributors on both sides of the ball were held out for safety reasons.

No way to tell if the team is ?vastly improved over last year? as coach claims but it does look better.

4 good qb?s, 2 good rb?s and a better appearing o-line so more wins, hopefully. Anxious to see the Miners opener vs Utah State on the road.

Interesting that this Wednesday the football portal opens for about 10 days. I assume some Miners will enter and the staff will need to grab some additional recruits for replacement. Walden said he wishes there was only one portal window per year so that he would know who?s on the team. He also has promised to match up to $70k of his own money to the football NIL to encourage fan donations by the end of April. Fans have already donated over $36k.
