Can anyone explain to me how eleven fcs players came from fcs Austin peay and took the spots of Kugler?s players?  Like how many more fcs players could have come to El Paso if they wanted and taken a scholarship from kugler players?  How many and how do we explain how Kugler couldn?t get anyone better than sub-fcs talent?  Does that make any sense to someone that can explain it to me?  Either Kugler had sub-fcs level talent on the team(and who even knows how many, but his eleven were just who were willing to move with him)?  Or, is Walden playing lesser talent because either he can?t judge talent or is just favoring his players?  If kugler stocked no talent players it is on Senter. Senter is watching his hand picked coach be close to be an fcs level team playing in the fbs. A decent fcs team mind you but put them up against southern Utah state and it is obvious.  Some of you may remember a book titled The Peter Principle.

You should remember Sam Houston is still playing with some FCS players and their head coach had been a career FCS head coach before Sam moved up to FBS.  Last year, they started 0 - 8 before finishing 3 - 9.

It is my hope that UTEP will have a similar turnaround.  I will say, I hope UTEP?s HC does not have a heart attack during a game, though.  I have never seen a coach that hyped up.

Very different. Houston. Houston talent pool splashes out to Huntsville and with the steady stream of talented players needing to land a spot Sam was a natural stop. Championships. Steady. So Sam fcs and El Paso fcs are very different.

But, Sam was fcs so having fcs players still there is understandable as you move up. However, having fcs talent at a fbs school, and evidently sub fcs talent as they lost jobs to fcs players has me questioning how that happened. Kugler just being stupid?  I don?t think I believe that. He has been around the nfl enough to know the difference between fbs and fcs talent. Can we not get fbs talent to come play here?

That is why we need a name coach to bring talent in. Price had All-American rb?s, qb?s, and receivers. Walden brought in fcs players. Jesses and Joes win not X?s and O?s

I think it's a little of both. This guy is like his FCS players not at a par with FBS coaches. Senter, as usual, is just as bad an evaluator of talent as his FB coach. I envision a winless year because I see no one that we can beat. Even Fiu which is just as pathetic as we are would probably beat us like an orphan. WE. ARE. BAD.

I wonder when we'll get smart people in the Athletic Department, they are pathetic.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I have stopped predicting scores with my heart and start with my common sense, (how little I may have but still better than what we have playing/coaching fb) and I don't think I'll be predicting any more Miner wins, or should I say "A" Miner win.

As with everyone else, we are trying to forget the Dimel era.  I assume that is what Ky is trying to do.

Sonofabitch!!  I am old and the Kugler Dimel period was basically the same. Hold the ball and try to keep the other team from beating the mortal piss out of you. Turtle ball. But I have no other excuse. But the same questions are asked about Dana players. Offensive line coach head coach and he left no starters from the o- line?  11 FCS players were able to take the place of Dimel?s players?  What does that say?  That?s just the players willing to move to EP. How many UTEP FBS players are actually easily replaced by lower level players?  But, at zero wins you can ask if it is not an entire team of non talented players but the coaching?
So yeah. I admit it. I am confused about the whole UTEP football program for the past forty years. The only time they win is an accident that is quickly corrected. You all can help me list the programs that have been below us supposedly and have risen like they are riding elevators while we keep digging deeper into the hole. Yep. I don?t understand. I used to think it was lady Di. Nope. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.
