  • Maybe  I am being unkind but it looks to me like we have lost a bunch of good players and gained a few trying to move up-a little, I guess.

  • I'm not necessarily opposed to new coach cleaning house.  If the upcoming season looks like a dumpster fire then we can bemoan the departed guys.  I'm not sure that anyone that left that wasn't a graduate transfer is someone I'm that upset about losing.

Whose departure do you think left us a net negative vs the players transferring in?

  • We lost a lot of good players including Hankins and Burgess to Texas State and we got two players from Texas State as well. We have 47 new players. Some transfers and some high schoolers. It?s going to be an interesting transition to say the least. The number one recruiting class in CUSA per 247 which has not happened before.

  • What do y'all need to see this season to believe this is a decent hire?  I haven't looked at the schedule, but we're in a really sucky conference.  It shouldn't be too hard to not suck enough to get to a bowl.  I don't think it should take 3-4 years to get to the point of winning 6 games

6-6 this year and another appearance in the NM bowl plus an offense that is exciting. That would be enough for me to think this was a good hire. Would love more wins of course.

The schedule is not easy. On the road 7 times including 2 of the best in CUSA, WKU and Liberty plus at Nebraska and Tennessee. The game at Colorado State will be pivotal if a winning season is possible, imho.

I think Hankins was a graduate transfer.  If so, then that doesn't count as he couldn't have played another year for us anyhow
