  • Found out yesterday that Tristan Newton was playing for Uconn was a Burges grad and Aaron Jones cousin. It's nice that El Paso was represented. You can't blame him for wanting to play there instead of Utep, he'd be wasting his talents like Aaron was doing at Utep. It's unfortunate that we have to think this way but unless we start winning like in the olden days who can blame these kids for moving away. He would never have earned that Championship ring at Utep. *sigh* It hurts to say it but it's the truth.

  • He was UConn?s leading scorer and helped lead them to 2 straight ncaa titles but he started out at ECU which also was never going to win a title. Terry was UTEP?s coach when Newton was being recruited and he was not offered a scholarship at UTEP. He was named mvp of the final 4. He is an All American and won the Bob Cousy award as the nations top point guard.

The Jones brothers (Aaron and Alvin) tried telling UTEP not to overlook the Newton brothers to no avail.

Which proves that Utep is run by a bunch of dumb S'es. Do you know what Uconn is saying? "Thanks dumb S'es, your loss is our gain".
