Justin Mayers enters portal

South Carolina offered another offensive lineman from the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday night. Justin Mayers, a two-year starter at left guard from UTEP, posted about the Gamecocks offer a little more than 24 hours after he entered the portal.

Boston College, Colorado, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Texas Tech, USF, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech have also offered Mayers, who has one season of eligibility remaining. Mayers (6-3, 309) is a product of Reedy High School in Frisco, Tex.

And who can blame these guys.  If I recall correctly we don't even have an NIL for football.  It's not even a question of getting paid more, it's a question of getting paid or not getting paid.  Why even stick around to see who the new coach is, it doesn't matter.
