Throw out the first two games.  One of the teams doesn't have a website. 

The UCSB game was a shoot around for both teams.

Austin Peay?  Really? 

Cal!?  In my best Napoleon Dynamite voice, "Lucky!"  I think Cal may not have won a conference game last year. 

The last 2 games we averaged 53 points against  Bradley and LMU.  Defensively we have held them to a respectable 65 points average(63 and 67) 

It seems to me that we play hard but not so much a defense that we are able to use to our advantage.  We get turnovers but can't score off of them as we should.   And, I admit, I don't know.  I know they work hard but the seem to have trouble hitting shots that bball players usually hit.  But, I don't know.  Inside scorer and outside shooter?  Hardy?  The last two games the 3 starting forwards scored 6, 11, 8, 0, 4, and seven points.

Cal took a very good San Diego St team to OT yesterday. They lost but in OT.

It's still wait and see for me. Hopefully the team is better than that game yesterday at LMU.

I'm the only one who predicted the Miners to lose so I won the OPT. These Miners aren't any good. They have a big heart but they're lousy shooters. The only one that has the guts to shoot from outside is Hardy and I give him credit for trying at least. Either the coach stops trying to force it in and let them shoot with the hope that they make it or he's gonna lose a LOT of games. It's better to try than to miss from under the basket as I see it.

I was stoked at first because it looked like the Miners were going to be good but I was wrong. They looked good because the opponents sucked worst. I'll probably predict with my brain instead of with my heart.

BTW who is the main play by play announcer for the ESPN broadcast?  I caught that Hooper Vint was the "color" guy.  Anyway whoever the play by play guy is, he is just awful.  It's hard to imagine any of us could not do better even with no broadcast experience

I'm gonna disagree that the bball team sucks. They beat Cal & UCSB. Those programs are good. Not great, but good. We have athletes & shooters. They are ironing out the kinks & now is the oerfect time for that. After all, conference play is where it is at. Building chemistry what Golding is working on & working with the kids to be better at defense & rebounding. Offense will come.

I'll say this, although Terry probably had better athletes, there is still a night and day difference on what I see on the court.  There's so much more teamwork and they look like they know what they're trying to do.

Offensively, we generate plenty of open shots from 3, but our guys just don't seem like they are comfortable shooting from that.

Kalu looks like he's panicking every time he touches the ball.  Terrell and Jones are great looking young players
