Was anyone surprised that Austin was this good or was it because Utep isn't that good yet? I saw that the Miners were having a hard time with their press. Later on they got the hang of it and AP wasn't able to adjust because there were some easy shots from that. Kalu has to practice his free throws, stet, and either Hardy has to make his shots or stop shooting. Do you ever notice that there's always a "you shuteo" 'let me shoot' on a team, Hardy is that man. He does some good things but so do the other players. I like Soloman he's coming around but still Powell is the man. I don't know who would take over the helm if he got hurt.

I wish I knew a little about AP that way I would have changed Utep's score a little. Heck, I don't even know where they're from.

Hardy was 44% from 3 and 8/15 overall.  5 assists and one turnover.  What do you want from him?


AP wanted an ugly game they played very physically fouling a lot to take us out of our rhythm and it worked fairly well until their guys started getting in foul trouble
