  • The next couple years will tell.  He took over an existing program with an established offense, game plan, lineup, and identity, and didn't screw it up.  We know he can recruit.  I personally don't think he can coach, and I think in 3-4 years he's looking for a new job.

We now appear to have the opposite problem -- a guy that can coach but can't recruit.

Not trying to be political here but that sounds like our current "Presidon't"  It's possible to do the same thing, that is, screw up something that was working.

  • I'm happy for Terry, because he worked his way back to his dream job. However, he didn't do jack shit at UTEP. The last game he lost, because he got outcoached, which is exactly what happened to him all 3yrs at UTEP. There, I said it.

Question: Was Terry the coach when Butler beat us like an old mule in the Ncaa tourney?

  • I'm assuming you're being facetious?

It was Barbee and they found out he was leaving during or right before the game.  I want to say it came out at halftime.

It was halftime.  The game was up for grabs thru halftime and then, at the time, bizarrely, the team just looked like a mess in the 2nd half.  No one understood why until it came out after the game that Barbee was leaving. They were iInformed or the team found out at halftime.  We should've made at deep run in the tourney that year.  We were stacked but unfortunately ran into to a red hot Butler squad in the first game.

  • That year and Sweet 16 year of 1992 we could have made deep runs, potentially final four
