I was able to listen to the Teich broadcast so those of you that saw it may have some different thoughts.
Our defense is good. By CUSA standards, dominating. Obviously our secondary could be better, but that would make us dominating by any standard. Take Boise out of it and our defense has been scary. Boise doesn't count for two reasons -- they just beat BYU, and our offense turned it over 6 times.
Our offense is mediocre and inconsistent. This is probably because our starting QB and starting RB are mediocre and inconsistent at this point of their careers. You can see the player that Hankins will become, but he isn't there yet. Awatt is, and should get the bulk of the carries with Hankins to give him an occasional rest. Unless there is some plausible master strategy that makes that strategy make sense?
Dimel has clearly upgraded our talent level significantly, and maybe is a decent head coach. I still think he's an awful OC.
