If the game was at the SB I would say for sure that the Miners would win but since it's not I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. And with that I'm giving them a "maybe win." The SoMiss Eaglets aren't the team of the past. Don't get me wrong they can always play above their competence, especially at their place. We always play them close thought even when they're way ahead of us in prominence. I'm still Ps'ed off at them for beating us in a bowl game with Favre but I still hold a small liking for them, I don't know why. (?)
Anyway, the Miners have proven to me that when the chips are down they don't give up like teams of the past. If this game had been played even two years ago the Miners with being up by 17 and then 20 and in a lightning quick time they're on the outside looking in with a one point deficit these old Miners would have thrown in the towel. This years version doesn't quit. Even when Teicher said "this is Miner ball" I thought to myself, "it sure is" because from a large lead to a one point deficit it reminded me of the old Miners. I was expecting them to give the game away. Even with those dumb kids who can't keep their emotions in check and with their stupidity gave the ODs a second and third chance to win the other kids didn't let these stupid penalties bring them down and they still managed to score. I saw the highlights of the game on tv and I didn't realize just how close the ODs were to tieing it up with 30 seconds left. I'm just glad the secondary has gotten the webs out and the Miners managed to stop them for the win.
