Interesting comment by UNM coach.  They always say complimentary things, but sometimes you can tell things by what they do say and what they don't.  What's your opinion of this?

Gonzales knows UNM will need to be on its A-game in order to have a shot.  ?They are a tough football team that plays the right way.  They are a year ahead of us on their mission to turn that program around having got there in 2019.  They play a 4-2-5 and they are pretty aggressive in the secondary,? said Gonzales, who added. ?I like watching them on tape because they play the right way.?

Coach speak. More to the point, coaching is a fraternity and Dimel is old but still needs the gig so you talk about him in a positive way a vanilla way. I think there is probably a coaching book of things to say and this one is in there.  Yeah, we are a year ahead of other programs. Trust the process.

I still think we win, but this scenario sounds more classically UTEP.  If it does happen this way, it's time for the Dimel era to end.
