I thought the Miners were going to throw the ball more. The only thing that impressed me what control of the clock. Canales does that well. As a matter of a fact, it's what won the game.
That is the only thing I liked about the Miners. We should have blown that team out of the water come late on the 3rd Q. We all saw their corners were terrible & Calanels should have thrown 3 out of 4 times.
Our defense looks good at times, but makes silly mistakes that cause chunk yards.
Anyway, a W is a W. I saw some other CUSA teams & we are for sure on the bottom half.
I hope the Miners prove me wrong. If they don't, we keep some good talent & a better coaching staff should do well. After all, that is what happens after Dimel leaves programs.

Seems like our Defense is a low end CUSA defense.  They can compete for the bottom half of the conference.  It seems like the D Coordinator is making good gametime adjustments and he is probably getting all he can out of what he's got, which isn't a lot outside of Praise and Inyang.  I would consider keeping him.

The Offense is harder to figure.  I think we have a CUSA level QB and two WR.  The RBs can't create when they are swarmed in the backfield so it's hard to know.  Our O line is not even FCS level on the run.  I think you have to blame Canales / Dimel.

To me, if I was an AD and I learn my HC is calling the offense, I'm asking him why in the hell he hasn't fired his OC and hired one he thinks can handle the job.

Bonus question:  Brownholtz is in at QB, what play are we running?
