Today was the fan club meeting and several points were brought up. For next year there will be a point system to choose your season seats. There are several factors in deciding where you will be eligible for your seating. It has many aspects to how it will be determined. Such as how many season tickets you've bought since 2000 and if you've donated to the athletic part of it. If you're an alumni you get points too. If you played sports for UTEP you also get points. Also, if you're a faculty member, staff or retiree you get points. There are too many to include here. I'm sure you can find it in the UTEP athletic web page.
Also, did you guys know that the Sun Bowl will lose 10,000 seats with the new addition to it. I asked Nick what was the reaction from the SB Association and he said that they liked it because now they can charge more.
Those were the two major points brought up and the rest was just small talk. For instance I asked them what they were going to do about the pigeons. No clear answer was given. Someone asked about installing aisle hand holds and they said that they were discussing it. I told them that Memorial Gym was badly in need of hand holds as it gets dangerous for people with bad knees and sometimes for people with good knees.
