  • Posted on the other site-- I haven't verified but sounds right:

We haven't beaten a team with a winning record since 2009

  • I predict that Boise will have a winning record.

In order to be fair to the teams struggling to get out of the basement of college football, it is important to give them some props when they appear to be doing the work to climb their way out.

    1.  Florida International
    2.  UMass
    3.  Hawai'i
    4.  UConn
    5.  Akron
    6.  New Mexico State
    7.  Colorado State
    8.  Charlotte
    9.  Bowling Green
    10.Ball State

    This is the updated TTNW

FIU held onto the top spot from last week but has a real chance to move down the list this week when they go up against #6 NMSU, who would love to get at least this win for crying out loud.  UMass also held onto the #2 spot from last week.  Number 3 Hawaii stays at number three.  Hey, they didn't move up.
Last week's number four team moved down to number six this week and is looking to keep up the downward momentum with a win over FIU this week although I am not sur just how much it will help either team, either way.  Akron held onto the number 5 spot just as it did last week.
In a big move, Bowling Green made a big move, dropping three spots from their spot at #6 to almost scape the TTNW to number nine.  The flip side was UConn who moved up from number 7 last week to number 4 this week.
Let's give Temple a big hand for busting out of the top ten.  Number 8 last week, jumped to number 11 this week.  Charlotte was number nine last week and today they are number eight.  Opportunity will come knocking when UTEP plays them, if the weather allows it.  Last week's number ten team leaped off of the TTNW with their upset win over Boise State all the way down to 14.  This week's game will be huge for both teams no matter how it turns out.  As of today, the Miners are giving 3 points and the over/under is 50.

This week number 9 Bowling Green plays number 5 Akron and one of them is going to win.  Ball State, owners of the number 10 place in the list this week gets Northern Illinois.  Tough way out but win and escape the TTNW.
