    • The risk is NCAA doesn't allow the kid to transfer or finalize the medical Red Shirt. Either way, UTEP is stuck with nothing.
    This is a win/win people. If he decides to NOT go to class, he will be ineligible for next year. Oh wait, his last year of eligibility is this year so it doesn't matter. In regards to personal issues, he has none. Artist had way worse of a background than this kid & look how wonderful that kid turned out.
    We should be throwing a party right now with this get. Willms, Thomas, Wade, Frazier, & Omega in the starting line up. HOLY CRAP.
    For sure CTF's best line up. We have a 5 star McDonald's All American with 3yrs NCAA experience, a 4 star stud in Thomas, a spark plug in Omega, the #1 center in the conference in Willms, & a kid who plays like Vince Hunter in Wade only he is a bit shorter & can shoot.
    The time for the NCAA is now, my friends. If it doesn't happen this year, it will never happen with CTF at the helm.

    • Thanks for clearing that up.  I was pretty sure there was no downside, but I don't know enough about the vagaries of the NCAA to say for sure.
