    • Coaching job I have ever seen at UTEP. Jack ?em boys. Clang. At one time the team was 2-19 and 5-40 three point shots and all shooting.   I remember the 10.5% beyond the line. I found that it was easier to make my shots when I was closer. Nah. Bombs away. Another brick on the way. Oh. Don?t you love it when the big guys use their power and height to run out beyond the three point line to shoot one of those decorative bricks.
    I just looked and the 10.5% was great compared to the second half when we went 0-13 from the brick piles beyond the line. When the bricks fall put up some more. Keep doing it until you break the damned glass.

    • Agreed. Such talent on the team, & the coach wants them to do something they are not good at. We have an athletic team. They do well in the paint. With the team we have, Doc, Floyd, & Barbie would have this team in the top of CUSA.

    • Is Terry the worst coach in the post-Haskins era?  Worse than Rab?  There is an argument to be made.  BTW, i thought the female announcer knew her stuff.  Can we fire CRT and hire her?

    Is Dimel the worst coach post-Stull?  Worse than Kug, Lee, Nord?  There is an argument to be made.

    Is Senter the worst AD ever at UTEP?


    We need a complete house cleaning.  Senter needs to get fired immediately.  Does he have a buy-out?  New AD with energy and fresh ideas needs to bring in fresh new talent.  No more coaches that have been on staffs all over the place but never accomplished anything.  Young, hungry, innovative coaches that want to build success and move up.

    • Senter is in a tough situation. He didnt hire Dimel & CRT was already given the green light before Senter signed off on him.
    Senter's job then became to make these coaches work. Then Wilson is hired & she has 0 clue on how to run a school. I really think Senter wants to make changes to the coaches, but his hands are tied with those contracts & has no choice. That is obviously my opinion.

    Wow. I believe it may be yes, yes, and yes. Even if it is not necessarily his fault in Senter?s case. I also would like an up and coming coach who wants to build success but I want him to stay and move UTEP up.

    Is Senter the worst AD ever at UTEP? ........... No. Stull was asleep at the wheel and still leads here, IMO.

    • I agree with ATL.
    Kugs was the worst for football. Rabs was worst for Bball. I think Dimel is better than Stull so far. In regards to AD. 7nderstand that Stull, Natalicio, & Adouto hires our current coaches. Senter actually cleaned house with the other sports. The current big coaches, I would think, are next.

    • So here is some positive thinking. Its reaching, but it's positive.
    CRT knows getting to the NCAA tourney takes winning CUSA tourney. When he played both AZ clubs, the offense was mixed with inside & out play. All the conference play has been concentrating on outside 1st, then an occasional inside. CRT may be working on what they are weak on until they hit the conf tourney & then move back to how they played against both AZ clubs.
    Think about it. We played both of those teams really well. Isn't that kind of what Coach Beard does @ TT? Because his regular play looks rough, but come tourney play, they are fantastic.
    Anyway, Terry is no Beard, but I am wishful thinking at this point.

    • In the big picture sense, I think CRT has the right idea.  It does come down to winning 3 games in the tourney.  And beating P5 schools and maybe winning a game or two in the post season, and that will only happen by making lots of 3s.

    I now feel like the biggest problem comes down to leadership.  They aren't really getting it from Terry.  Last year the team only won when their emotional leader was on fire (Edwards).

    The future of this team is going to ride on Bienemy.  He is going to have to pick them up and carry them on his shoulders, emotionally as much as anything else.  I think he has been hesitant to assert himself knowing it was supposed to be BW's team first and Boum second.  But neither of them has what it takes to be that leader.
