OPT Rule Proposal

It happens only rarely that a person will predict the exact correct winning final score.  Thus, do you think they should get an extra point in addition to the three for winning.  However, if more than one person predicts the exact winning score, only the person who made this prediction first gets the extra point.

The following is how I propose the wording for the new rule if approved.  Comments and suggestions appreciated.

"If the OPT winner (1st Place) predicts the exact winning score, they will be awarded 1 additional point.  In case of a tie for first when more than one person predicted the exact winning score, only the person who first predicted it will be awarded the extra point in addition to 3 points for 1st place."

Sounds fine.  I acutally thought we weren't allowed to pick a score that had already been picked.

Happens occasionally and we'll ask the second person to change their score.  But if we don't catch it this is how I deal with it since it's not forbidden in the rules.  If two have the closest score prediction to win, we take the first and second place points and split them in half, i.e., 2.5 points each.  Or they get the second best score prediction, 2nd & 3rd place points (2+1)/2=1.5 points each.  Or the third place score prediction, 0.5 point each. 

If you like, propose a rule change/addition and we vote on it.

I was going to suggest you just sign an executive order.  But this works, too.
