  • Maybe Kyy is right about FCS.  I guess we could take a lot of local kids.  So if we did that we could get our asses handed to us by SHSU instead of UNT?

  • I think you may be making too much of the word "offers"  This doesn't say anything about scholarship offers.  Those schools probably offered him an opportunity to try out for the football team.  Or maybe they offered to take him to lunch.  Maybe they offered to talk to his mom and dad about living in Belton or Temple, two lovely towns.

Michael Flood "Chose UTEP over Northern Arizona, Georgetown and others."

My Mining for Nuggets posts are my attempt to not be my usual bitchy self about UTEP athletics.  It isn't an easy task, even when I am trying.

"Others" may be the University of Phoenix, Southwest University at El Paso, Western Technical College El Paso or El Paso Medical Assistant School.

Many of the recruits don't have any schools listed, but I have the feeling that they are good students from good homes, the kind of kids that you can build a program around.

    Trust the process.

  • Just thinking that if UTEP dropped down NMSU could only beat us every other year, right?  Isn't there a rule about how many times you get to play a lower division team?
