  • I don't know Dimel, but everyone seems to think he is a nice guy.  Like a thief with a beautiful smile, patting you on the back and lifting your wallet at the same time.  As much as I hate what Kugler did as the Head Coach, especially with his fuck you attitude, he at least had enough character to quit stealing from UTEP and maybe even felt bad about fucking the UTEP fans.  He had a conscience.

Dimel, on the other hand seems not only to have none, he has his son in on it.  Like fucking gypsies and the old gypsy made one last big heist.  Has anyone ever heard him say one word about his two years of disgusting Head Coaching performance being a concern?  Fuck no!  He must have an shrine with the Contract at the center of it that they all pay homage to before they eat.  Three quarters of a million dollars a year he steals from the people of the poorest city in the United States and he always has that shit eating grin on his face and some smooth excuse or used car salesman line while selling junk cars with Earl Schieb $39 paint jobs.  Seriously, and I mean that, seriously is there anyone here that would be able to keep cashing their check from their company they work for if you were getting that kind of money for that kind of on the job performance?  No?  You mean to tell me that no one in here is that kind of low rent sonofabitch?  Of course not!  Remember when Kugler said if I can't fix it you won't have to tell me to get the fuck out, I will leave? Well, Dimel ain't that guy.  He is old and this is his last chance to steal big, and he isn't throwing 3/4s of a million bucks a year away because of some stupid notion of honor.  Fuck the people of UTEP and El Paso!  He has a CONTRACT, that slimy bastard!

Now, what have the players learned from him.  Football?  No.  They have learned that they have a scholarship!  It is just like a contract.  So, with it you have no worries.  You just have to show up.  He has probably taught them how to grin like a fucking baboon at those who wonder about your character.  First, you just think about your contract.  That keeps that stupid grin plastered on your face.  Dimel is the Bernie Madoff of college football and we are all his clients.  Do you think he feels bad about it?  Fuck no.  "Pass the stuffing, son.  Who wants another slice of pumpkin pie?  Bless Bob Stull, the Queen, and that sweet man Senter.  Bless us all.  And more than anything, bless this sweet contract and the three more years of free piles of money we can steal from the local yokels".

I am doing all I can to not make any terroristic threats.  Thankful for that.  I never thought I would say it, but I would rather have Kugler stealing from us.  At least he felt bad about it.  Dimel probably keeps his Christmas tree up all year long because his check each month is a gift from Santa UTEP.

  • In all seriousness, I have not heard Dimel be critical of himself in any of his press conferences or in interviews. I would be far more inclined to think that circumstances would improve if he would convey to the public that he recognizes problem areas and addresses means of improving them rather than just saying “a play here or a play there and it’s a whole different ball game.”

I agree with this.  The great coaches can always find something to improve on.  I have seen Nick Saban go crazy on the sideline tearing into a player for a stupid personal foul penalty that happened with less than 3 minutes left in a game that they were winning by 32 points.  Dimel is the opposite, he only focuses on the few things that went well and never publicy admits/focuses on what needs to improve.  Then he is insulated by guys like Teicher, who on his coaches show last week, did not even talk about the poor defense once during the entire show, yet they sure talked about the offense and 998 total yards of both teams as being “really cool”.  It was frustrating to listen to Dimel using that one game loss against a terrible NMSU defense, as complete justification and vindication for his offense.

Dimel also seems to be the guy who would rather focuses on making nickle and dimes, instead of making dollars.  He will waste two possesions running his passing QB on QB run plays, just so he can set up and later run his RPO play for a wide open 15-20 gain.  He will waste two dollars(two possessions), so that he can set up a $.20 cent gain(play) later in the game.  He will also rotate QB’s all year and not name a starting QB, causing overall damage to the effectiveness of his offense(sacrificing a dollar), because he is instead focusing on the nickle that he can make by setting up the smaller advantage of making the defenses prepare for two QB’s.  Dimel focuses on the quarter that he made in the post game interview because he won the time of possesion, instead of dollar that he lost by losing the game.  I even heard Dimel talk about how they covered the spread once in a post game interview this season, when the spread was 19 points.  That sounded pitiful, as he mentioned it with almost pride, when he should have instead been talking about all of the glaring areas where we needed to improve.

  • Ky, you know how El Pasoans always show up for the first game HOPING that we might have a decent team? Well, I think the people have finally wised up and this coming year that won't happen. I think we might be lucky to have 5k in the stands. After that who knows how many will show up, I know I wouldn't. Why would I want to throw good money into the air for the wind to take it? I'd rather go to Chicos Tacos and spurge, LOL.

Dismal needs to man up and with the one million and a half that he's been paid already go off into the sunset if he has any integrity...which he doesn't because he "ain't going nowheres".

PS. and he should take that miserable clone of Boob Still, none other than Senter who really screwed up by signing this "inutil"to a five year contract as if he deserved that many years. He, Senter, has made it almost impossible to fire Dismal solely because he knew that we don't have that kind of money. Maybe they're in cahoots. Weren't they buddies before?
