help with a name

    • I'm trying to remember the name of a former BBall player.  He was Hispanic, and was a starting guard (I think PG), back before Haskins, probably in the 50s.  He held a bunch of the records at the time I think.  He later became a professor in electrical engineering at UTEP.

    • I think you are thinking of Mike Izquierdo.  He was my professor for a class many moons back.  I think he played ball way back in the 50s.  Good guy.

    That's it!  I was taking a class from him when he passed away mid-semester.  I thought he was a very decent guy and a really good teacher.  He really explained concepts well.

    Not sure what made me think of him.
