Recruiting has been interesting as of late

Verbal Commits has posted a couple of recruits from places that are new. Well... kind of. UTEP has pushed a lot of activity towards some under the radar kids. I'm totally OK with that since these higher touted recruits think they deserve either a better school or better treatment.
I hate it when I go on a rant like that. Anyway, Maurice Murray 6-6, 175, 2★ is a SF out of New Jersey, Devonairr Doutrive 6-5, 170, 4★ is a PG out of Alaska, and Amari Kelley 6-9, 226, 2★ is a PF out of Georgia. I know coach Anglin has been the one hitting up Chicago area and Johnson hits up California, and I thing Braswell is who is hitting up a few prospects from Georgia. I only put that together because Lee Moore was out of Georgia and I think that was Braswell's get. New Jersey threw me off. Baumann spent time coaching in , Texas, Kansas & Colorado. CTF usually likes to hit up Arkansas, Mississippi, & Louisiana.

So, does anyone know who is pushing the New Jersey & Alaska areas?

Lastly, just so everyone knows, Roderick Williams is still on the current roster for UTEP.

Williams did not enroll for summer school, so I doubt he makes it to campus at all.

Curious to know if he were to register now for the fall semester, would we even know that until registration closed in September? Also, would that make him eligible for the Costa Rica trip?

More activity since my last post. Next weekend a 6'7" SG 3★ 1A State Champion from Santa Monica will be visiting at UTEP. Also a 6'8" 210lb PF was just given an offer from UTEP. The kid is from Australia. With activity from Alaska, New Jersey, and Austtralia, you would think Cantu is still working for the Miners.
Like I said before, CTF is really good at getting kids to sign in the early period. I hope we can land that 3★ kid. We can use a long shooter.
