So we scored 21 points in the 1st Q and then 6 the entire rest of the game? Did Dimel shut it down or did the D figure us out?  Why oh why can't we maintain an effective offense all game?

I believe you are correct.  I believe the other team may been doing a better job of turning the ball over and trying to spot us a head start as we often like to do.  They actually tried to give a few more but we said naw.  A few more field goals made and the score would have gotten much further up there. The funny thing is that it wasn?t really safe until the last turnover or two. They didn?t add points but allowed us to get those minutes.

Big plays!  We have the ability to give them out like Halloween candy. That?s why we can have the ball for six minutes more than the other team and still lose by 20.

Sorry I've been away for a while. Divorce took the wind out of my sail.
Anyway, I saw the tail end of the game & was not impressed with the offense. The defense looked good for a change, but it seemed like FIU had grease on their fingers & dropped too many passes, etc.
It's funny how the injury bug hits our team every other year. UTEP football has been tough for me to watch for the last 10yrs. It doesn't mean I don't route for my Miners, but I have developed a defensive mental wall so disappointment doesn't hit me so hard as it has in the past.
Cool thing is we finally won. Bad thing is we are in hole that looks like it will get deeper. Ugh.

I think Dim was afraid of turnovers and letting Fiu score, like pick sixes for instance. He's not a good coach we all know that already but it is what it is. He'll probably get an extension on his contract because he won in Florida.

What do you call a Field Goal Kicker that misses his field goals? I don't know but it's not  field goal kicker. The guy is not very good and it'll force Dim to go for TDs instead of going for the easy field goal.

We all know how bad a coach Dim is and the fact that he didn't know the fourth string QB was better than the three ahead of him tells me that he is a poor judge of talent. This kid has a very accurate and long range pass. The only pitfall is that he is slower than Hardison and that is really bad. McConnell or whatever his name was needs to unhitch the trailer before he starts on a run. I'm an old man and I could probably run faster, LOL. I like this kid, I hope he keeps improving and doesn't remain stagnant like Hardison. Hardison needs to be the keeper of the pad regardless of who the next QB will be.

I wish Diego of Enemas U. had a twin brother. This kid has a bright future. He's a running back disguised as a QB. I'm not downplaying his passing because he's pretty good there too. I'm jealous. I think Enemas U. will kick our butt because of his running, we're not suited for that kind of QB. Heck, we're not suited for any QB, LOL.
