  • Ay ya yay, Kyyote the eternal optimist. If the Miners win I can only imagine how bad NM is. If Enemas U. was able to kick the defense's S in the second quarter with their mediocre offense I don't see how UTEP can stop Los Lobos Locos.

If I could I would tell Dismal to let the OC do the job that he's getting paid to do and get Hardison with his leaden legs off the field. What can it hurt, it's not like Hardison is any kind of asset. People better be glad that Dismal isn't in any position of authority in the field of Law Enforcement, the Military or the Fire Service we'd be in trouble as he has the common sense of a millennial.

  • Hardison isn't horrible all the time.  Sometimes he's pretty decent.  Hardison didn't lose the first two games.  The main problem with Hardison is the games like this last one where he can't hit the broad side of a barn.  After the first games I was hoping he was past that this year.  But when you couple inconsistent QB with poor running and worse play calling, it's kind of hopeless.

I don't know what to think about the D.  I expected the line to be something special this year.  They're just kind of there.

I will say one thing positive about this team.  Discipline is much better with fewer stupid penalties.  Some of the 15 yarders I thought were typical plays that happen every game and sometimes they get called so I'm not too upset about them.  No more false starts, offsides, motion, illegal receiver downfield, etc.

  • I will agree with you on the senseless penalties of years past. I guess the coaches have gotten in the players ears and it's about time. I still remember that guy in the sidelines that socked a running player from another team, wow, that was classic Woody Hayes.

    But yes, you're right.

Not a penalty per se, but there was that WTF moment at the start of the NMSU game where UTEP had to call a timeout after the first play of the game.  It was clear there was some confusion.  Sheesh.

  • Agree that was awful.  But to me that?s more evidence of Dimel?s inability to manage a game vs lack of player discipline
