  • End of 1Q

We missed opportunities to score but moving the ball well and playing good D.  Most of all we look like a real football team

  • Well, it is familiar. But we do look stronger and better so far.

  • Halftime:
Hardison looking much better than last year.   Smith gotta catch that TD ball.  Flores is just a player

D giving up way too many big plays on the ground again as we did against every quality opponent last year.  Not enough pressure from our D line.  What?s that about?

    Special teams not enough data

Much more discipline shown in this game than previous years

  • I don?t think my old heart can take this. We are better than last year. But I don?t know how to say it. It is like an inherited trait. But never mind that. What has been a real great improvement but I don?t want to jinx it by saying it is what I will simply say is improved individual decision making. There seems to be a decided difference in discipline

  •  :wasn't able to watch it,but following the score was very disposing. This team does not seem ready. Im not saying won't be, but just DAMN.

  • The bad:

We lost the battle of the lines on both sides.  We still can't run block and we still can't stop good teams from breaking off big runs.  We don't have a replacement for Cowing.
We got badly outcoached the entire 2nd half of the game on both sides of the ball.  D line was not as powerful as we hoped.  No pressure from the front four, and no run stops from them either.

    The good:

Hardison looked much improved to me.  Very few uncatchable passes, better decision making, better touch on mid and short passes, reading through progressions.
Flores is just a player who makes things happen.
We looked like a respectable team on both sides of the ball that got beat by a better team.

    Summary:
We are the same team as last year with a better QB but receivers not good enough for big time.   We will beat bad teams and lose to good teams.
Dimel has built our talent level, but we are not over the hump.  We are probably top half of the conference but not top 25%
