  • Similar stories ran in the Austin Statesman and El Paso Times.  Kennedy is a graduate of Austin area Westlake High School and thus the interest in the local paper.  Brett Bloomquist wrote both stories.

  • A buddy & I were having lunch a few months ago & he tells me a story that he went to his neices birthday party & she brought her new boyfriend. He described him as a tall black athlete & all family members were skeptical. Not because he was black, but that all are always skeptical of any new boy.
He said we were all wrong about this kid. He said he was kind, educated, very social, helped clean up, etc. After that 1st meeting, he said the kid is at family functions helping with grilling, prep work, doing store runs & has become part of the family. Apparently the kid really likes El Paso.
Anyway, I thought this story might put some smiles on your faces. This kid is the real deal.
