Wow, that is a surprise. I didn't think that he'd leave after all he is known as being a bit stubborn. I have two feelings, I'm sorry for him and us that things didn't work out as we all hoped. But, the other feeling is that at least the new coach can start preparing for next year instead of waiting until after the season.
I know that I was pushing for his resignation/removal and for that I'm glad. I love UTEP sports too much to see it go down the drain more than it has. I hope it's a new and more positive chapter for us.
