Thank you.  I had a heart attack 32 years ago and a couple of years ago it started acting up a little.  It just started acting up again and it puts me in the hospital for safety's sake.  My doctor made an adjustment in my meds and hopefully that is all that  I will need.  As a matter of fact, I asked about over exerting myself and he said not a problem.  Just stay hydrated as I have a tendency to do what I did when I was young and able to abuse the heck out of my body.  So, as far as I am concerned I am still a bad man capable of dropping down and knocking out 25 and out working lots of men half my age(at my age delusion is pretty common).  I was a little concerned that I was a feeble old man, but he reassured me that I'm still a badass! lol  I plan on being around long enough to see the Miners win the NC in football and again in basketball!  ;)

Ky -

It is nice to know you still have a bad ass, but it is your heart that seems to be the problem.  Take care, my friend.

Does having a badass mean excessive flatulence? ::)

I sometimes have gas, but it doesn't stink when I do.  ;)  Lilacs and rainbows.

You must be related to my wife 'cause that's what she claims.

Get better and stay that way. Those of us who have been around a long time need to witness the coming Orange Revival!

What this that you say you're sick? No man, you're like me, stubborn old cusses that refuse to get sick. Well, I know that you're a stubborn ol' cuss and I'm sorry that you did get sick. Get well old man. I need to have someone in the Den to give a hard time to.

Get well my friend, and fast. ;)

Thank you. Seems my accelerator cable was getting stuck petal to the metal sometimes.  They sprayed some WD40 on it and are going to put me on a dyno-tune next week and rev me up and look for misses. Personally, I feel pretty great for an old fart.  Just have to hope that the timing chain doesn't go.  :)

Update.  I passed my stress test (and I didn't even hardly study for it) with flying colors.  I am ready to put it to a real test with some UTEP football wins!

I’d say watching UTEP football will be the real stress test

Maybe another club soda with lime at Tortugas might do the trick. I think it's time to start planning a Den night at Tortugas before the season starts. Anyone up for a night week after next?

Just saw this now,  Hope all is well kyyote! THANK YOU also for yours and all messages.  I've been stuck deep in hole for awhile.  Starting to feel a little like my old self but still cry like a baby when I least expect it.  I'll try and follow more often but I'm kinda forgetful.  Just glad you're better...

I am almost 71 so I have seen a whole lot of babies in my life and almost all of them cried.  I'm told it was good for them.  I don't know if that is true but I never saw hurt anyone.  I do know that timing can be problematic.  I cry at the National Anthem and mostly any old Motown song, Kashmir, and anything sweet.  John Boehner had nothing on me.  I think as long as you can sort them out properly they are just one of the ways we get by.  Look to the positive and don't linger too long on the tough ones.  Always know that there are people to help get you through the really tough times.

I don't know if it's good for babies to cry but I used to tell my SIL to let the baby cry because she got all spastic when he did. I told her that unless the baby is crying tears of blood there's no danger to him. He'd get tired after awhile and would fall asleep.

As for me I am a tear shedder. I guess I've been eating too much soy. LOL

Stay strong Dawg. If you need a shoulder try mine.

This is a really good post, Ky.

But...... I really thought you’d say you also cry at UTEP games.   ;D

Anybody up for a beer or 2 before the season. I. Thinking next week some time.

lieb, I am always too mad to cry at UTEP games.  If I am crying at a UTEP game it is because I have kicked the damned bleacher seat so hard I have hurt my foot or something.  This has probably happened.  Well up for the National Anthem and the color guard.  Just about get myself back under control just in time for a kickoff to be run back for a touchdown or something.  Kick the aluminum numbered 27 and now we re off and running.  Woo Hoo!   UTEP!   Football!  UTEP Football....UTEP Basketball!

Chanson, if you pick the day and time I will be there.  A pre-season cheer!

I'd be down for that and meeting some fellow Miner fans. Just moved back to EP last month after a 30 year hiatus. It's great to be home again.

Ky, I had no idea and failed to see this. I wish you all the best my friend. Your spirit is has me feel better. We met once during the Price administration but that was way back when. Glad you're ok.

Thank you!  The latest tests looked really good.  My son tells me to go with the 10 push ups three times instead of the 35 at a time to prove I am still a badass.  Not I have a bad ass, lieb!

I remember, we were at your tailgate on the side of the Liberal Arts building I believe. That's a long time ago. Not too many showed up, I guess they knew Lieb would be there. LOL

Just pulling your leg Lieb.

One of my favorite jokes from Red Foxx;

I was riding on the bus and thinking how funny looking people are.  I looked to my right and there on the sidewalk was a guy with a nose that looked like his face was taking a shit and I laughed my ass off.  Behind me I saw a woman that was so fat she took up the entire bus seat and I had to laugh.   Looking in front of me was another woman who was so buck teeth that she could eat corn off the cob through a picket fence.  I was laughing so hard.  Damn people are funny looking!  Then I looked to my left and the woman across from me was looking at me and laughing her ass off!
