UTEP 31 Sam 27 ( with Cade as QB ) - Sam has really improved over last season.

They've improved 100% from last year where they were close in every game. We barely beat them last year, the Miners won't this year.

This past week, Sam started in a 22-0 hole at the end of the first quarter against Texas State.  At half is was 32-21 TSU.  Somewhere in the 3rd quarter it was 39-21.  And TSU never scored again.  Sam won on a FG with 6 seconds left 40-39.  At this point last year Sam was 0-5, now they?re 4-1.

But now they have a short week, while UTEP had the week off, and the Kats will have to travel to El Paso.  I think they?ll still win because they are much improved over last year, (their QB transferred from Iowa Western, and they won the JC national championship last year) but the game this past weekend took a lot out of them.  So, I?ll still pick them to win, but I?ll be just as happy if UTEP can come out ahead.
