If you figure in the cartel teams, that ranking is downright respectable. Not Boise State but in the same upper quarter of the ?others?.

UTEP is ranked better than Tulsa, CO St., Arizona, Indiana, Syracuse, North Texas, Colorado, etc.

Wow. Didn't expect that. Haven't seen anything like this since early Mike Price. The criteria to get ranked was different back then, but I like it. I hope we play better than that ranking, but I'll take it.

It's nice to be ranked higher than some Cartel schools. Tulsa especially in our conference when we used to play them always either beat us or gave us a good scare, to be higher than them is respectable. I hope that we live up to the hype and perhaps even go up higher than 85.

So far according to them we should be favored against No.Tex, our first opponent. I like that. Don't prove them wrong Miners.
